100 Gravel Miles

100 Mile riders will start at the Huguenot Memorial Museum in Franschhoek. The journey includes Franschhoek Pass (tar), dirt roads, farm tracks and vineyard trails. There are seven Water Points en route and one Spectator Point at the half way mark. The final welcome and Race village is the spectacular Benguela Cove.

50 Gravel Miles

The 50 Mile starts at 10am at 100 Mile half way point (near Caledon). The journey includes dirt roads, farm tracks, and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. There are four Water Points on this section of the route alone.

King Price Race to the Sea is a point-to-point event, which means some extra planning is needed to get you, your bike, and your gear to the right place at the right time. To make things simple, we've partnered with reliable service providers to help with bike transport, shuttles and vehicle transfers.

Move My Bicycle

Bike transport is available from Gauteng, Durban, and Bloemfontein for riders participating in the 100-miler only. Drop your bike off at one of the locations and we’ll make sure your bike arrives at the start line in Franschhoek.

100-Miler and 50-Miler Bike Transport

From Gauteng to the start line of both the 100-Miler and 50-Miler. Drop-off points are available in Pretoria and Johannesburg, with a convenient door-to-door service option.

Vehicle Transfers

100-Miler and 50-Miler Transfers 

If you’d like your vehicle waiting for you at the finish line, vehicle transfers are available from Franschhoek to Benguela Cove. This is a convenient option, especially for solo riders or those without support crews.

Space is limited, and booking early is essential.

You can go to the start venue in the morning or go back to your car at the start venue after the race. The shuttles will transfer you and your bike.
