100 Gravel Miles

The 100 miler starts at Theewater Sports Club near Villiersdorp, on the banks of the Theewaterskloof Dam. The route climbs the infamous Rusty Gate Pass inside the opening 20 km, then takes in dirt roads, farm tracks and vineyard trails on its way to the coast, 153 km with 2485 m of climbing all told. There are seven water points en route and one spectator point at the halfway mark. The final welcome and race village is the spectacular Benguela Cove.

50 Gravel Miles

The 50 miler starts at the 100 miler's halfway point, Wolwekraal, near Caledon. The route takes in dirt roads, farm tracks and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, with four water points along the way. The finish, and the race village, is the spectacular Benguela Cove.

Reliable Service Providers

King Price Race to the Sea is a point-to-point event, which means some extra planning is needed to get you, your bike, and your gear to the right place at the right time. To make things simple, we've partnered with reliable service providers to help with bike transport, shuttles and vehicle transfers.

Vehicle Transfers

Vehicle transfers are available from Theewater Sports Club to Benguela Cove at a cost of R900.

Park your vehicle in the designated area at Theewater Sports Club and our team will transport it in a secure convoy to the finish while you race. When you cross the finish line, your car will be waiting for you, ready for a smooth and easy departure.

Bike Transfers

Coming from afar and need your bike transported to and from the race? VIP Bicycle Logistics will handle it. Drop your bike at one of their designated points and they will transport it to the start at Theewater Sports Club. After the race, drop your bike at the designated area in Hermanus and it will be transported back to your chosen location. Door-to-door collection can also be arranged at an additional cost.

Afternoon Shuttle

BIKE & RIDER

The afternoon shuttle runs from Benguela Cove back to Theewater Sports Club for R850. Once you have prebooked your spot, you will receive all the drop-off and departure details. Bring your ID or race licence to collect.

Vehicle Transfers

Vehicle transfers are available for 50 Miler participants from Wolwekraal to Benguela Cove at a cost of R600.

Leave your vehicle in the designated parking area at the halfway point and our team will move it in a secure convoy while you continue your race. When you arrive at Benguela Cove, your car will be waiting at the finish, making your trip home quick and convenient.

The morning shuttle runs from Theewater Sports Club to Wolwekraal. Done racing? Choose your afternoon return from Benguela Cove, either back to Wolwekraal or all the way to Theewater Sports Club.
